MVF Church Students · Grades 5–12 · Heber City

Wednesday nights are for you.

Games, food, worship, real friends, and an honest look at who Jesus actually is. No pressure, no dress code, no church experience required.

Kickoff · Wednesday, Sept 9 · 6–8 PM

Seen. Known. Loved.

We're not here to make teenagers behave better, and we're definitely not here to guilt anyone into anything.

We're here so that every student who walks through the door knows they are seen, known, and loved — first by the people in the room, and ultimately by Jesus, who is God with us, and who came looking for them long before they ever went looking for him.

So we make space for 5th–12th graders to belong before they believe, ask their real questions, and build a faith that can withstand real life — at their own pace, surrounded by people who genuinely like them.

Wednesday nights

What a night actually looks like

Walking into a room you've never been in is the hardest part. Here's the whole two hours, start to finish.

5:30

Doors open

Music going, snack bar open, games already started. Come early — nobody sits alone.

6:15

Big group game

The loud one. Usually involves a countdown and at least one questionable decision.

6:45

Worship + a talk

Songs, then a short honest talk about Jesus that assumes nothing about your background.

7:20

Small groups

Split by grade and gender. Where the real conversations happen. Out the door at 8:00.

Schedule

Every week, plus the big stuff

Wednesdays are the anchor, with a Sunday morning group for junior high. Retreats, camps and parties are the moments students still talk about years later.

What you'd want to know before dropping them off

Safety isn't a footnote

  • Every leader passes a background check before they serve
  • Every leader completes leader training before their first Wednesday
  • Safety training is required for all leaders — not optional, not once-and-done

First time?

Here's exactly what to expect

Walking into a room you've never been in is the hardest part. So here's everything, no surprises.

How long is it?

6:00–8:00 PM. Doors open at 5:30. Pickup is at 8:00 sharp — parents, we promise not to hold your evening hostage.

My student is in 5th grade — is that too young?

Not at all. Wednesday nights are for 5th through 12th grade, and we split into small groups by age, so your 5th grader ends up with students their own age rather than lost in a room of seniors. Junior high also has a Sunday morning group for grades 6–8 once they get there.

What should I wear?

Whatever you're already wearing. Hoodies, cleats from practice, whatever. Some games get active, so shoes you can run in are never a bad idea.

Do I need to bring anything?

Nothing. Not a Bible, not money, not church knowledge. If you want to bring something, bring a friend — everything's more fun with one.

Is it free?

Wednesday nights are free to attend. Snacks are a dollar or two, depending on what they get, so send your student with a little cash if they want something. Special events like retreats and camps have a cost. We never want money to be the reason a student stays home, so if cost is ever an issue, talk to us — quietly and no big deal.

What if I've never been to church / I'm not sure what I believe?

Then you're exactly who this was built for. Nobody will put you on the spot, make you pray out loud, or quiz you. Come as a skeptic — you'll be in good company. Questions are welcome here; they're how faith gets real.

Give & serve

Help build this thing

Serve on the team

The ministry grows one trusted adult at a time. If you can show up on Wednesdays and learn students' names, we can train you for everything else. Every leader is background-checked and equipped before they start.

Give toward students

Gifts help cover camp scholarships, food, and events — so no student ever stays home because of a price tag. Giving runs through MVF Church.
